This week’s guest, Brian Castro, and I connected with while traveling through Cotonou, in the Republic IG Benin. He was sat by the pool and I overheard him and his colleagues having the post progressive conversations around travel and sustainable lifestyle, I knew I had to connect with him. Brian is an American born to mexican immigrant parents, working in international health consulting, based in Washington DC. He’s been In Cotonou over the last 10 days doing post evaluations after the government of Benin introduced RotaVirus vaccines.

We gab about what it’s like to get into International Development work, how to manage teams in four countries, go-to secrets of connecting with people by learning languages and what it’s like to be a Gay male traveling through countries with mostly anti-LGBTQ+ laws.
